What’s your job?
I’m the PR Manager for Crucial.com. In addition to traditional media relations, I drive our social media strategy, which is way too fun to refer to as just a “job!” I work with two outstanding PR professionals, Kelly Sasso and Gill Kelso, who are also CCC members. They are the wind beneath my wings.

What do you do for fun?
I live to check off activities from my bucket list, which is a project I started when I was a kid, titled “Things To Do Before I Die.” My most recent checkmarks came from wearing a kilt (Scotland), attending an NFL game (Dallas), and participating in a flash mob (Boise). Up next is riding my motorcycle to the Sturgis Rally and visiting all 50 States.
What was your first “real” job?
I served the City of Boise as the Special Assistant to the Mayor. In that role, I learned a lifetime of leadership lessons from my friend Mayor Brent Coles, and the always-gracious Mayor Carolyn Terteling-Payne (whom we referred to as the “Velvet Hammer”).
Awards and accolades?
Our team earned an IMPACT award (thank you, CCC!) for our social media campaign, which gave us an opportunity to recognize some very deserving team members. Additionally, an award that meant a lot to me personally was being nominated by my awesome students at BSU (I’m an adjunct PR instructor) for the Golden Apple Award—that was a very special day for me professionally.
Any interesting or milestone projects/experiences you’d like to share?
I recently returned from a trip to Moscow, where I learned the in’s and out’s of PR in Russia. Although PR plays a different role from country to country, everyone seems to agree that it is an absolute must-have for any organization.
Why CCC?
I’m a chronic brainstormer and gain a lot from hearing tips & tricks from the members. Plus, after hours and hours in front of a monitor, a lunch away from the office is a welcome break J
