As my first term as president of the board of directors kicks off, I am filled with excitement. We have a great board for the upcoming year and they have been working throughout the summer to plan a strong calendar of educational and social events, the IMPACT Awards program and the junior high writing content.

Additionally, there are some great improvements to the website underway, including a new member’s only area which will provide access to job postings, member profiles and special offers for members only.

I want to personally thank each board member for their time and dedication to making CCC better with each passing year. There are many opportunities for you to get involved with the planning and execution of CCC programs, so let us know if you’d like to lend your expertise or even learn something new!

As a CCC member of almost a decade, I look forward to the 20th anniversary year being a strong year for professional development and networking opportunities. And last, but not least, I look forward to spending time with many incredible smart and talented practitioners in the communications, marketing and pr fields; many of whom have become valued friends.
